Graduation Trip

GIVE ME ONE BATAM CHEER! LOL.

Well, we had a hell load of fun thereee. In case you were wondering, i went with ten other year 3s from CSCC. It's our graduation trip! :)

I woke up like extremely early and who knows why i did that.
I was at Tampinese and Yan Mei was still in Chong Pang >.<
But luckily, Wei en & Ben were early too.
Had breakfast while waiting for the rest to arrive.

Boarded the ferry at 10am. reached the hotel at around 11am, Singapore time.
Batam time is like 1 hour earlier than Singapore time.
So cool right, only 45 mins from Spore to Batam, and we've entered a different time zone. Explored the place as the room keys weren't ready yet.
Only managed to get the room keys at 1pm.

We were complaining how warm the weather was there.
Settled down and went to Nagoya Hills, proclaimed as the largest mall in Batam, for shopping and lunch. We had A&W, cos it's like our childhood memory fast food, which is non-existent in Singapore now.
However, it doesn't taste very nice.
I only like the chilli, which i bought a bottle on the last day before departing for Singapore.

This was my 2nd trip to Batam so i wasn't exactly surprised as compared to the rest when i see people smoking in shopping mall. Yes shopping malls. And if that's not bad enough, people smoking in eateries, shops, toilets. EVERYWHERE. I can take the pungent smell of cigarette smoke, but their ciggs smell is like BLEHHH! Really very smelly. Not surprising if one pack of marlboro only cost S$2. Maybe little tobacco and lots of shit. Cow shit, dog shit, ear shit. hahaha.

And it's really irritating to live there. The conversion rate is S$1 to Rupiah $7500. So imagine, the dinner we had on the second day amount to Rupiah $975 000. Okay, we spent almost a million >.< But anyway, it's really cheap to spend on food there. Especially seafood.

So to continue, we were shopping there for about a few hours before heading to Batam Centre for another round of shopping. That mall is nicer, less crowded, more cooling, and less smoke.

Had dinner at a normal eatery selling rice. Like Singapore's Zi Char.

Went back to resort, sang ktv for an hour.

Lights Out.

The second day kick started with buffet breakfast at the resort's restaurant.
Mostly western. Bacon, beans, hotdogs, toasted bread, scrambled eggs, hash browns. Porridge, cereals, prata. And many more..

Off course, we ate to our fill. Ben ate the most. hahaha.

After that accompanied Joy, Hui si and Daphne to the bank to exchange money. Cos some of the notes we were using have expired. So we need to change to the new ones. Went back to resort after that.

Had our water sports. First was swimming at the pool. Then to the beach. Wanted to kayak but it was low tide, so we couldn't. It was kinda of good cos we went to snorkel! Quite a nice experience. The first was during LTC @ Redang. This is the 2nd time. And i get to see a real sea urchin for the first time in my life! The spikes look really dangerous.

Back to resort, wash up and off to find a nice place for massage. Had this Thai and Balinese mix massage for 1.5 hours. Any longer my skin and bones will tear and split. lols. Our butt got exposed during the massage. So embarassing.

Had seafood meal at Golden Prawn after that. Black pepper crabs, calamari, prawns and such! Yummy! Went back to resort and lights out.

Breakfast was instant noodles and crackers. Checked out, took photos and it was time to say bye bye to Batam.

And we filmed the green bottles song. And we had a batam cheer too. Credits to Nebula. LOL

WE LOVE BATAM! :)

Pictures next!
